The Islamic Development Bank has donated funds to the Dambatta VVF (Vesico Vaginal Fistulae) Centre. The bank is funding an 18-month project which will provide treatment, rehabilitation and reintegration for 100 VVF patients.
Director Dr Rahmat H Muhammad said: "This is the first time the Centre has received funds from an Islamic organisation." She urged other similar organisations to follow suit.
